Fantastic Oregon Feed-In Tarriff Program, Launches in July

With HB 3909 homeowners in Oregon will be able to start selling their solar power back to PGE Power starting in July at quite a nice rate. According to an informative and entertaining article over at Solar Power Rocks homeowners should be able to finance a 5kW system, save about $60 per month on their electricity bills and have PGE pay them $300 per month for their energy production. That's right, $300 per month. And after a loan payment of approximately $250 per month the homeowner is up $110 on a monthly basis. Not too shabby.

PGE is paying this out for 15 years, but the program is limited to 25MW, or approximately 3,000 homes in Oregon.

Here is some additional information from the authorities in Incentives over at dsireusa.org - get on it Oregon homeowners, what a great opportunity. Looking forward to more aggressive programs such as this around the country.
